2020 was undoubtedly a year for the books. At this time last year, with shut borders and heavy Covid19 restrictions, we had no idea what we would face in the upcoming season. However, Aotearoa rallied and 2020 became an unforgettable season full of surprises!

Our winter got off to a cracking start in early July with a dump of snow followed by cold and clear conditions. The North Harris and Buchannan terrain was exceptional straight off the bat and continued to provide pristine skiing throughout the month. 

We even had a surprise engagement from the field in July! (P.S. how good is that one-piece!)

August was a turbulent month with the Level 3 lockdown in Auckland, however down here we were fortunate enough to be able to continue operating during Level 2 whilst Auckland took one for the team. At the start of the month, we were hit with a surprise 30cms of fresh winter pow on the Tyndall Glacier setting everyone up for an excellent time!

Late August, Mt Cook was the place to be! We had day after day of insane winter conditions up there and a bunch of very happy shredders.

Spring 2020 was heavenly for us and with the lifting of Aucklands lockdown, we were able to welcome everyone who had had to postpone their travel plans with open arms. With numerous storm cycles in early September we were spoilt for choice with winter snow on Southern aspects, and excellent spring corn on sunny Northern aspects - the best of both worlds!

September 2nd was our busiest day of the year, we had 8 machines flying, 20 guides in the field, and 70 guests. It was EPIC and we loved sharing our backyard with so many Kiwis!

Our biggest focus last year was all about shredding the backyard and supporting the locals. That doesn’t stop this season, however, this time around we get to share our beautiful landscape with our Aussie mates! How fortunate are we to be living in this corner of the world?! We can’t wait to get out there.
