Many things are needed to keep the operations at Harris Mountains Heli-Ski running smoothly: Guides, Helicopters, Snow and also a well-working customer service team. Harris Mountains Heli-Ski has two front desks, one in Wanaka and one in Queenstown. Their work includes making sure that the guests know where to go and the guides know who is skiing with them. We thought we would take this opportunity to introduce them
The heart and soul of the customer service team in Wanaka is Broni. She has been working with Harris Mountains Heli-Ski for 14 years now and runs the front desk duties in Wanaka with three other team members. Broni knows all our returning customers by name and skiing ability, and for some of them is the reason they come back every year. “With winter comes the best and busiest four months of the year. Add to that, big mountain terrain, fresh powder, helicopters, a team of highly experienced guides and pilots, and most importantly an influx of excited heli-skiers from all corners of the world”.
Whether it’s a new guest, a first-time heli-skier or one of the die-hard veteran powder hounds on their 35th season: Broni greets everyone with her smile and has an answer to every question. Coming back every winter season is an obvious choice for her: “I picked this company and its playground to work within because I love the entire experience Harris Mountains has to offer people, including the guides and pilots with their high level of expertise that facilitate the experience. So, in a nutshell, I love my job!”
What Broni is for Wanaka, is Chris Price for Queenstown. He has been working with Harris Mountains Heli-Ski for over 10 years and is also the main point of contact for clients in the off-season. For the guides, he is a very important member of the team. “Chris knows our processes and what we need and want. He usually starts preparing our operational work while we are still skiing”, says Harris Mountains Heli-Ski manager Hugh Barnard.
Together with two other front desk staff, Chris organises the Queenstown side of operations. Giving guests the best possible experience is a point of honour for the Brit: “Heli-skiing is the absolute pinnacle of people’s hobby and they trust us with this special experience. I always want to make sure that this trust is appreciated by picking the best weather and conditions, working out their abilities and what is right for them. When they come back with happy smiles on their faces, it’s the best reward for me.”
Give Broni, Chris and the team a call today and book yourself a heli-skiing experience! They will take great care of you and make sure that you have the perfect day with us.
