Heavenly Spring Skiing

Ah, spring! What a brilliant time to be alive and what a great time to go heli-skiing. When the trees and flowers start to blossom and the first lambs are jumping around in the paddocks, the conditions in our terrain are especially amazing. Cool nights, long days, no wind and lots of sunshine make for some epic skiing and snowboarding. Everyone should have a go, it’s simply fantastic. Which is why we have started our annual spring special this week which means a 25% discount on our daily rates.

Most of our guides are big fans of this time of the year. For Snow Safety and Senior Guide, Anna Cook spring skiing is ego skiing: “The days are warm, the turns are long and there is plenty of time to take in the amazing views.”

For our very own ex-ski model and lead guide Grom it’s the thrill that makes spring skiing so special: “We ski different runs in spring than we do in winter. We can take our clients to much steeper terrain because the avalanche risk is so low.” And for HMH manager Hugh it’s the “effortlessness of skiing perfect corn snow” that makes heli-skiing in spring the best thing in the world.
