The initial early snow fall had us itching to strap on our boards and clip into our skis but we quickly realized the warm temperatures meant the snow was not going to hang around. After a slow start however, we managed to access some epic higher early season terrain.
With many seasonal staff left without work due to the late opening of some resorts, we decided we needed to step in and do what we could to boost morale. One lucky staff member from Treble Cone was selected to join us for the heli-ski day of his dreams!

When the good stuff finally started falling in July we had some epic days across our terrain. With little fly days we had many peak season days with full guest capacity. A particular terrain highlight as always was the ever magical Mount Cook flights. Guides and guests reveled in the perfect conditions, skiing steep and deep with views that will leave you wanting to hop on the first flight down to Queenstown. The crew from Diaries Down Under were among the lucky ones to enjoy the epic terrain, check out their episode here.

We had a huge response to this years #NZuntracked competition on Instagram and Facebook. With entries coming in from across the globe it was a tough decision. Along with support from our friends at Edgewater, Gin and Raspberry and Racers Edge the lucky winners were awarded the ultimate heli-ski weekend in Wanaka. Here are a few of our favorite entries. Next year it could be you!
During winter both guests and guides alike sent us an incredible amount of photos and videos showing the epic conditions found out in our mountains. Check out all of the videos and photos from the season on Instagram, Facebook or on our gallery.
